Parts data lives in spreadsheets, PDFs and inboxes. Arity puts it in one place.
Arity is a product information management system built for automotive, truck, agricultural, construction, marine and industrial parts. It holds your products, their images and documents, their cross-references and their prices.
General-purpose product systems treat a part like any other product. Arity treats it as a part: something that replaces other numbers, is built from components and has a diagram it belongs in.
Publish once
Enter a product's data and content in one place and keep it current there.
Deliver to many
Serve every customer from the same source, with no more custom files for each one.
Control who sees what
Give each customer their own access, including limits to the suppliers they buy from.
Built for the people who make, sell and look after parts data
Suppliers and manufacturers
You hold the product knowledge. Load it once, keep it accurate, and give every customer their own view of it.
- One catalogue for every customer
- Images, documents and diagrams with each product
- Per-customer access and permissions
Distributors, dealers and buyers
Find the right part from whatever you know: the part number, a specification or a diagram.
- Search by product, attribute, assembly, component or cross-reference
- Compare a part with its cross-references
Catalogue and data teams
You keep the data right. Define the structure once, then work through common jobs in guided steps.
- Categories and attributes in the order you set
- Supersessions, kits and related products
- Cost and MSRP next to each product
What you can do in Arity
The questions parts customers ask every day, answered by the data instead of by someone's memory.
Compare a part with its cross-references
Pick a product and Arity pulls in every cross-reference and lays the attributes out side by side, in your category's order. Differences stand out, so you can tell at a glance whether a replacement really matches.
| Attribute | Your productHF-4410 | Cross-referenceXR-77120 | Cross-referenceXR-9031 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thread | 3/4"-16 UNF | 3/4"-16 UNF | 3/4"-16 UNF |
| Filtration | 10 µm | 10 µm | 25 µm |
| Max pressure | 35 bar | 28 bar | 35 bar |
| Seal material | Nitrile | Nitrile | Viton |
| Length | 172 mm | 172 mm | 172 mm |
Sample data. Highlighted cells differ from your product.
Keep the history of a part number
When one part replaces another, record the supersession. The old number stays attached to what replaced it, so nobody has to remember which number is current.
Three part numbers, one line of descent.
Also in the platform
Exploded views with hotspots
Mark parts on an assembly image and link each one to a component, product or assembly.
Kits and related products
Group products into kits, set their order and compare them side by side.
Images, documents and links
Attach content to any product and choose its main image.
Categories and attributes
Attributes follow the category and appear in the order you choose.
Cost and MSRP
Keep pricing beside the product it belongs to.
Customer access
Create customer accounts, set permissions and limit which suppliers each can see.
Guided workflows
Step-by-step flows for the jobs you repeat, such as creating a kit or an assembly.
Bulk loading
Bring in cross-references and images from a spreadsheet instead of one record at a time.
Catalogue search
Search by product, attributes, assembly, component or cross-reference, then open the full product page.
From spreadsheet to searchable catalogue
Load your products
Bring in products and cross-references in bulk, or add them through guided workflows.

Why not a general-purpose PIM?
A general-purpose system can store a part. It usually can't answer what replaced it or where it sits on the diagram without custom modelling. In Arity those answers are part of the product.
| What you need | General-purpose PIM | Arity |
|---|---|---|
| Cross-references and comparison | Custom modelling | Built in, with side-by-side comparison |
| Supersessions | Usually a note or a spreadsheet | Recorded as part of the product |
| Exploded views linked to parts | Images stored as attachments | Hotspots linked to components and products |
| Different access for each customer | Varies by product | Customer accounts, permissions and supplier limits |
